Current Responsibilities – David Perez serves as the Chief Operating Officer for CARROLL. He believes people are one of CARROLL's greatest assets and looks to constantly challenge the organization in its path to be the best for its partners, investors, and residents. As part of his duties, he oversees the operational, managerial, and support positions for the Company ensuring the effective placement and management of process, technology, and data empowering the company to achieve its business objectives. David oversees the day to day operations, managing people, mitigating risk, and executing business plans with high standards of professionalism, responsibility, and accountability.

Relevant Experience – David’s performance-driven leadership style, spanning operational, strategic, and transactional disciplines, provides him the ability to leverage a unique business acumen across diverse cultures, economies, people, and technology. At EY and Houlihan Lokey, combined over eight years, he provided and led financial advisory assignments for clients in multiple industries and for various purposes (M&A, corporate planning, tax, litigation, etc.). He also spent time performing transactional due diligence as well as working capital advisory. Upon moving to AirServ Corporation as a Sr. Strategic Finance Director reporting to the COO, Mr. Perez supported the operation of a 25-Airport region, which included startups, takeovers, contract bidding and pricing, people management and hiring, budgeting and forecasting, and performance reviews. Immediately prior to joining CARROLL, David was a leader in the Strategy and Operations practice for Slalom Consulting, supporting efforts around client financial analyses and performance, the impact of changing technology on finance and the business, data and BI business needs, among others. He has a track record of delivering insights and value to multiple Fortune 500 clients over his career.

Education/Affiliations – David is a graduate of the UGA Terry School of Business with a BBA in Finance and the UGA Institute for Leadership Advancement - Leadership Certificate. He is a 2012 graduate of the LEAD Atlanta Leadership Program, a former member of the Sandy Springs Conservancy and an Eagle Scout. He also serves as an appointee by the Governor of the State of Georgia to the Board of Commissioners for the Georgia Student Finance Commission representing Georgia’s 11th Congressional District. The GSFC helps Georgia students achieve their educational goals by administering financial aid programs, advocating on issues related to financing higher education, providing free financial aid consulting, and promoting financial literacy and default prevention.

Interests – David enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids jumping from baseball at Chastain Park to hiking in the Chattahoochee Nature Preserve. An avid student, he continually reads and studies everything from Six Sigma process improvement and Agile development concepts, where he’s also a certified scrum master, to SABR applications in baseball management and lineup construction theory. He loves the Braves and UGA Football but building great teams is his passion. We have more fun rowing in the same direction.
